Insights on the opportunities in Green and Orange Districts of India

Post extension of nationwide lockdown, all the districts of India have been broadly divided into Red, Orange and Green Zones, basis on the number of coronavirus cases recorded in each of the districts.
Looking at the resources – human and natural – available in Green and Orange districts, here are some insights on the opportunities for the Indian Economy.
As of May 8 2020:
- 81% of the districts (600 in total) are in the Orange and Green categories, and should, therefore, be able to reach their pre-Covid19 GDP per capita quickly.
- 65% of the country’s GDP is created in these 600 Orange and Green districts.
