FOR STIMULATING STORIES FROM THE
WORLD OF MARKETING
Hi All,
It’s been a busy August for most of us,
hasn’t it? From a business perspective,
things have been shaping positively ahead,
with increased consumer demand. The Sensex
has rebounded to ~60,000+ levels and seems
destined for higher levels soon. The
multiple long weekends and mini vacations
did help navigate the month.
As per Benori Knowledge’s report,
sustainable investments by Indian PE and VC
firms are projected to grow to USD $125
Billion by 2026, at a 5-year CAGR of 46%.
This is driven by consumer demand for
socially responsible brand behaviour,
government policies and the massive growth
of cleantech and green initiatives. We
continue to highlight this, as consumers are
gradually but surely looking for green
alternatives.
And yes, the festive season is upon us. It’s
going to be the biggest shopping
extravaganza in many years that we are about
to witness in the next few months. As per an
article published by TOI, top companies in
the automobiles, consumer electronics, FMCG
and retail sectors could increase marketing
and advertising spend during the upcoming
festive season by 10-20% from the previous
year to tap the anticipated recovery in
demand. A flurry of new vehicle launches
running into the festive season will ensure
a heightened advertising and promotion
activities from vehicle makers.
Here's us from Laqshya wishing everyone a
fantastic festive period!
Best wishes,
Team Laqshya

Brand engagement, metrics, DOOH,
creativity stood out in OAC Day
2 deliberations
From audience measurement and role
of technology, to leveraging
creativity and enhancing the
competitive quotient of OOH, the
second and concluding day of OAC
2022 set new milestones for the OOH
eco-system through an engaging
lineup of speakers and sessions.
The session addressed one of the
most critical questions for OOH
today - 'What should OOH do to
attract more brand spends'?
Addressing this question was
Archana Aggarwal, VP – Media,
Airtel, in conversation with
Alok Jalan, MD, Laqshya Media
Group.
While addressing Alok's questions on
Airtel’s spends on OOH, Archana
threw light on the shift in the
brand’s approach to OOH as a
marketing medium, given the changed
market conditions. Elaborating on
what the OOH industry needs to do to
drive higher spends, she said, “The
OOH industry has always been very
focused on the operational aspects
and has been very execution
oriented. Perhaps now is the time to
focus more on the strategy part so
as to push up the value that can be
derived from it.” Archana also
stressed on the importance of
knowledge building to enhance the
medium’s appeal among brand
marketers.
