Yes, it’s 2022 already, and so is the third
wave (unfortunately). It’s taken time to
reach Indian shores; recent reports suggest
that India will peak soon, which is a
positive but we certainly need to be mindful
in the interim.
On the positive front, the Sensex has
bounced back in the 60,000+ levels, helped
by good third quarter results of NIFTY
heavyweights – TCS, Infosys, HCL Tech and
others like HDFC that are expected soon,
besides others. Key players like Maruti
Suzuki and Hero Moto Corp are gradually
reclaiming earlier levels, after a subdued
2021. The resurgence of automotive players
will kick start the economic cycle in more
ways than one.
So, let’s wear our masks carefully, and
be safe. Here’s wishing you and your
families a safe and successful 2022!
