Time for normalcy!

The third wave is well on its way out, and we hope that it’s for good! The number of daily cases by mid-February is below 35k, and hopefully should keep subsiding ahead.


Good news on the GST front keeps coming; collections have been consistently high over the past many months. January 2022 recorded the highest GST collections of Rs. 140,986 Crores, surpassing the earlier high of 139,708 of April 2021, in spite the third wave of the pandemic. The GST revenues for January 2022 are 15% higher than January 2021, and 25% higher than the GST revenues of January 2020.


The budget turned into a non-event for taxpayers. The government continued its long-term focus on large scale infrastructure projects across the country and hopes to drive employment and overall economic prosperity.
